Setting window size and layout
Use the mouse to resize or relocate windows in the terminal.
Relocating a "Dockable" window
To relocate a dockable window, do as follows:
To dock a window with the main window side of the application:/p>
- Left-click the window title bar. Special icons will appear in the main window of the application.
- Drag the window over an icon.
- Release the mouse button.
To dock a window with another window:
- Left-click the window title bar.
- Drag it close to another window. Five icons will appear by the second window: one in the center and four icons around it.
- Drag a window over one of the icons.
- Release the mouse button.
To group windows in tabs, do as follows:
- Left-click the window title bar.
- Drag it close to another window. Five icons will appear by the second window: one in the center and four icons around it.
- Drag a window over the central icon.
- Release the mouse button.
Change the location of the tabs, extract the tab from the group into a separate window, and change the location of a window or a group of tabs by dragging the desired window/tab to a new location.
Hold Ctrl to avoid accidental docking when dragging the windows.
To restore window default settings for location click “Settings –> Set default UI layout” in the menu bar.
Automatic customization of windows in the “Charts” are
Windows, located in the “Charts” area, may be customized automatically. The space shouldn’t be occupied with “Dockable” windows (see "Setting modes of window display"). Automatic customization is available only for windows in the “Tabbed Document” mode.
To set automatic customization click “Window” in the menu bar and press one of the following options:
- ”Cascade” – windows of the same size will be located one above another with a small shift.
- ”Tile” – windows of the same size are located nearby, occupying all the available space.
- ”Arrange Icons” – if windows were hidden, their title bars are arranged at the bottom of the “Charts” area.
