Exporting/importing settings

How to export settings

To export settings:

  1. Go to “Settings –> Export…” in the menu bar.
  2. Select settings to be exported:
    • “General Terminal Settings (Network)”
    • “Hot keys”
    • “Logins”
    • “Workspace templates”
    • “Chart templates”
    • “Colors and fonts templates”

    All elements may be selected by pressing the “Select All” button. Press “Unselect All” to unmark elements.

  3. Press “Export”. To close the window without exporting press “Cancel”.
  4. Set the path to a file, settings will be exported to.

Exporting progress is displayed in the “Settings export in process…” window. When exporting is over, close the window by pressing “Close”.

How to import settings

To import settings:

  1. Go to “Settings –> Import…” in the menu bar.
  2. Set the path to a file, settings will be imported from.
  3. Select settings to be imported:
    • “General Terminal Settings (Network)”
    • “Hot keys”
    • “Logins”
    • “Workspace templates”
    • “Chart templates”
    • “Colors and fonts templates”

    All elements may be selected by pressing the “Select All” button. Press “Unselect All” to unmark elements.

  4. Choose an action, triggered when imported settings match the existing ones:
    • “Ask for confirmation”
    • “Keep existing”
    • “Replace”
  5. Press “Import”. To close the window without importing press “Cancel”.

Importing progress is displayed in the “Settings import in process…” window. When importing is over, close the window by clicking “Close”.
